Backdated to GenX goes to Pride
Liam Goes to Pride. And then gets in a (metaphorical) van with a stranger. Afterwards, he meets back up with Jesse
Pushing through the crowd as politely as possible as the sun set, Liam finally spotted Shatterstar, rejoining the group from his little detour, "What'd I miss?" he chirped brightly at Jessie, the black mesh crop top he'd worn to the all day Pride party now missing. Instead, he wore a light blue Tony the Tiger shirt with the arms and collar cut off.
Jessie turned to him with a smile; her eyebrows went way up when she saw his shirt. "Not much. Drag Queen reading hour was a lot of fun. Uh... were you wearing that shirt earlier?"
"Hmm?" Liam looked down at his shirt, then shook his head, "Oh, no. Rowan gave it to me. Said I needed it. I think they're right," he was kinda bummed to miss the drag queens, but he was sure there would be more. "Do you like it?"
"It looks good," Jessie assured him. "Tony really matches your orange and stripes. I was just making sure I'm not insane because I definitely remember you wearing something else."
Blushing didn't show well with his stripes and his coloring, but his tail gave him away, moving almost bashfully behind him. "Not insane. But," he leaned in, wrapping his tail around her to hold her close, "Don't tell Sharon. She'll start screaming about how I shouldn't procreate. And I'm not! We used condoms."
Jessie tilted her head, frowning as she thought the dilemma over. "I mean I'm not going to tell her, obviously. But would she be able to like... IDK smell that you've been Not Procreating when she goes Cat?"
He shrugged, "Depends on when I see her next and if I've showered or had other smells that cover it. But she's not the only one with enhanced smell. She's just the only one that screams about it."
"Well yeah but she's the one who'll bite your head off... metaphorically. I think. I hope."
She was. He shrugged, "She'll deal. Or learn to deal. She doesn't control me, she just likes to think she does. And sometimes it's not worth the argument."
"You know what? Fair enough." Jessie grinned. "Either way, Tony the Tiger looks great on you. And it seems like your first Pride was a success?"
Liam nodded, grinning ear to ear and tail wagging excitedly. "Oh yeah! C'mon! They're dancing over there!"
Jessie laughed. She loved his enthusiasm. "Let's go!"
